Welcome to the first edition of the Flowering Jungle Newsletter by me, Ted, aka Monster Rally. I first want to thank you all for your support of my music and art for so long. When I started this project in 2010 I never would have imagined I’d be where I’m at now and I owe so much of that to this awesome community. I’ve been looking for a way to connect with you all more directly instead of always through the lens of social media and I thought a monthly newsletter might be a great way to do it. So, welcome to the Flowering Jungle!

Every month I’ll be sending out a letter to my entire list giving some behind the scenes updates from my studio, projects I’m working on, and new music. There will also be a paid subscriber option for more in-depth content, unreleased music and artwork downloads and an exclusive playlist curated by me. More on that below!

I’ve finally got my new studio set up and running. It’s a huge upgrade from where I was working in my basement, and definitely the nicest studio I’ve ever had. Most of my albums have been recorded on the floor of a bedroom or in a dark basement, so it’s nice to have some natural light!

Normally when I’m working I record little audio memos on my phone of samples and ideas I’m liking so I don’t forget them. Here’s one from a few days ago:

Besides new music, I’ve also been working on a few new artwork commissions including one with my favorite people, Juneshine. Here are a few pics of the work in progress. The can will debut in the spring, so be sure to keep your eye out for it.

In next month’s newsletter I’ll be digging deeper into my artwork process and showing more shots from my studio. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try to answer them all next month.
