Welcome back to the Flowering Jungle, or as my daughter would say, “We’re back, baby!” I can’t wait to share some exciting new announcements this month along with a full (before and after) studio tour. So, let’s get to it!

Show Announcement!
Brooklyn, NY 8/14

I’m excited to announce my show at the Elsewhere Rooftop on August 14. Tickets are now on sale! This will be my first headline show in New York in 2 years, so I’m psyched to bring the vibes to the rooftop this summer. Be sure to grab your tickets now cause it looks like this one might sell out!

And if you’re out west and can’t make it to New York, I’ll be in Colorado September 19-21 for a few shows around Denver and Fort Collins. You can grab those tickets here.

Saddle up and Ride

I’ve been noodling around the studio lately and thought it might be fun to do a new line of limited edition shirts starting with this western themed one. I only printed a few and the rest I brought to my show with Hermanos Guttierrez last month but I still have a couple left. Saddle up and grab one now.

Studio Tour

I get lots of requests to see my entire studio after I share clips on Instagram, so I thought today I’d take you around and point out some of my favorite areas and show some of the before and after. The entire space is only about 200 square feet, but it’s my favorite room in the house and has quickly become everyone else’s too.

You can see a bunch of my daughters coloring stuff on the table in the video, they’re usually in there coloring while I’m working.

We discovered this giant space in our attic a year after moving into our house and we decided to make something out of it. I had previously been working in our basement and had long craved the light of day, so when we found this area we knew right away we wanted to turn it into my studio.

The before shots are pretty dark, but we lowered the ceiling and put in skylights to get more sunshine.

I never thought these couches were going to puff up.

And that’s it. From a dark attic to a light filled studio, I’m psyched to get to have this space.

Hermanos Gutierrez Show Recap

I had an amazing time playing with longtime favorites Hermanos Gutierrez last month in Brooklyn. I found out I was playing the show super last minute, but I’m so glad they had me. Here’s some behind-the-scenes pics from a crazy travel day and the shows.

They also brought out Laura from Khruangbin as a surprise guest for their encore both nights which was awesome.

Their new album, Sonido Cosmico, comes out today and I highly recommend it so be sure to check it out.
